Learning Objectives

  • Review the historical context for current psychedelic substances and their potential as a novel therapeutic in patients with mental health disorders
  • Identify neurobiological and psychopharmacologic mechanisms by which psychedelics may function as effective therapeutics in patients suffering from a mental health disorder
  • Discuss the future landscape of mental health treatment in the event of medicalization of psychedelic substances as an approved therapeutic

HMP Education has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with the AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for AAPA Category 1 Credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

 

Pharmacists

This knowledge-based activity (Universal Activity Number: TBD) has been approved for contact hours (CEUs).

The certificate is not the official record of your participation in the activity. The official record of credit will be the information in the CPE Monitor system. Following ACPE Policy, HMP Education must transmit your claim to CPE Monitor within 60 days from the date you complete this CPE activity. HMP Education is not able to report your claimed credit after this 60-day period. Eligibility for pharmacy credit is contingent upon the successful completion of a post-test and/or evaluation for each activity or session attended.

Nurse Practitioners
American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by the ACCME. This activity will also award pharmacotherapeutic contact hours.

Nurses

This continuing nursing education activity awards contact hours. Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #13255 for contact hours.

Pharmacotherapeutics

This activity will award pharmacotherapeutic contact hours. Final credit designation will be provided once all the content is reviewed and approved.

Psychologists

AMA Credit seal

 

Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. This activity will award continuing education credits.


Social Work (ASWB ACE)

ACE logo

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, HMP Education is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. HMP Education maintains responsibility for this course. Social Workers completing this course receive general continuing education credits.

Marriage and Family Therapy

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, HMP Education is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The APA pre-approves New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and Washington, D.C., for Marriage and Family Therapy credit. HMP Education will be applying for pre-approval in the following states: Florida.

California: HMP Education is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for Sana Symposium. HMP Education maintains responsibility for this program/course and its content. Provider #147376

Requirements for Credit

To be eligible for documentation of credit for each session attended, learners must participate in the activity and complete the session(s) and overall conference evaluations, and post-test(s), if applicable. Participants who complete the evaluation online within 60 days of the conference will receive documentation of credit.
